Opening Hours

Routine GP and Practice nurse surgeries are held Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.

Emergency appointments are available after 17:00 – please note the surgery closes at 18:30.

Emergency appointments to see the doctor can be arranged by telephoning the surgery between 08:00 and 18:30.  A doctor will speak to you to assess your problem and arrange appropriate care.

111 is the new free-to-call number for people to access the GP service out-of-hours

What Happens When You Call The 111 Service and Request a GP Appointment?

  • A trained call handler will answer your call and take some personal details and information about the problem you are calling about and direct you to the correct service to meet your needs.
  • Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board provide GP services when your surgery is closed including Bank Holidays.  If you need to see a doctor, a GP will call you back to assess the your needs.  You will be offered self-help advice, or an appointment at one of the three ABM primary care centres in Morriston, Neath Port Talbot and the Princess of Wales hospitals.  If the GP thinks it is necessary, a home visit may be arranged.
  • The Out of Hours Service is intended to provide access to GP services in an emergency.  Please do not contact the service about problems that can be safely left until your surgery is open.
  • The GP Out of Hours surgery is able to supply prescriptions for medications in an emergency only. Please do not contact the service to request routine repeat medication
