Ordering Medication

Patients on regular medication will be provided with a repeat prescribing list. Medication will normally be provided for one month. You may obtain your prescription by posting your list in our prescription box, or by posting it, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.

Please allow 3 working days for your repeat prescription to be prepared, so don’t let yourself run out of medication before requesting a repeat prescription. Only medication on the repeat prescribing list may be obtained in this way. If you require any other medication that is not on repeat, you will need to book an appointment with our Pharmacy Technician by calling the surgery (subject to availability).

Responsible Antibiotic Prescribing

The ability of antibiotics to treat infection is threatened by their overuse. Riverside Surgery has joined the ‘Big Fight’, a local initiative to promote responsible antibiotic prescribing. The ‘Big Fight’ is the Health Board response to the UK wide campaign to reduce the use of antibiotics.
